Brand remix

CREATIVE WORKOUT:

When musicians hit a creative block with original music, sometimes they’ll switch it up and start a remix. They take something familiar and flip it into something fresh.

Grab your creative turntables, it’s time for a Brand Remix.

Get your imagination flowing in just 3 simple steps:

  1. Pick 2 brands or products
Think big, think weird, think random, any two!
  2. Choose a signature element from each
This could be the design, a strapline or even the form and function of the product.
  3. Remix the two brands or products together
Blend, mix or combine them together to create something unexpected, clever, or just plain fun.

EXAMPLE:
Here are a couple of example methods to get you started…

Apply a famous marketing slogan or visual style to a completely different brand.
Example: McDonald’s “I’m Lovin’ It” but for a luxury fashion brand

Combine two products or brands that don’t typically overlap to create a new concept.
Example: Pokémon meets Campbell’s Soup
