Creatives have a lot going for them. It’s not just about plucking magnificent ideas out of the mundane, but we think creativity can show itself in several ways….
Creativity as a skill offers so much more in the day-to-day, and many people don’t realise how they can use it as a superpower.
You’re a problem solver. You’re a fast thinker. You’re good with tight restraints.
And that’s just the beginning.
The 3 types of creator
Creativity isn’t just for “creators”. We want to think about it differently. 3 creatives walk into a bar…
The thinker, the enabler, and the doer.
They aren’t all campaign pros. They don’t all make viral reels. But they’re all essential in getting stuff done.
The thinker is someone who looks for creative answers to creative questions. How can we bring this campaign to life? How can we work with a limited budget? They spot problems and opportunities for creativity.
The enabler is a facilitator. They unpick problems, they bring people together, and make creative moments happen. How can we make that campaign idea tangible? What budget is realistic for this campaign to land? Is the message crystal clear, and have we sense-checked it?
The doer is exactly what your organisation needs to get things written, sent out and into eyeballs. The role of ‘doer’ can often be diminished or played down as comms strive to be more strategic and data-led. But if you love doing the do, then go for it with everything you’ve.
Creativity lacks structure
Creativity has for too long been seen as a fluffy skill that only exists in the marketing world, but it is extraordinarily powerful when you know how to use it and regularly practice it.
So – how do you get better at utilising your creativity to solve problems? Of course, no one goes out and looks for a course on problem solving or getting more creative. Instead, they might look up how to stop a symptom, like procrastinating.
So we created a shortcut. The Creativity Bootcamp.
When utilised, it can fuel your day-to-day, but also your career.
Get a creative fix – every week
We’d love to have you at the bootcamp. No early starts, no weight lifting – just a little bit of creative muscle flexing, once a week. Play along for as little or as long as you like.
